By using CheckWorth, you agree to these terms. We kept it short and readable because nobody reads 30-page legal docs. If you disagree with anything below, don't use the extension. Simple as.
What CheckWorth Is
CheckWorth is a Chrome extension that uses AI to estimate the net worth of individuals based on publicly visible LinkedIn profile data. Estimates are generated for entertainment and informational purposes only.
Let's be real: we are not financial advisors, wealth managers, or fortune tellers. Our estimates are AI-generated guesses based on public data. Don't make financial decisions based on them. NFA. DYOR.
Your Account
CheckWorth uses anonymous device-based authentication. You don't need to create an account or provide personal information to get started. If you upgrade to a paid plan, your payment is processed by a third-party payment provider. We never see or store your full payment details.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use CheckWorth to harass, defame, or stalk anyone
- Publish estimates as factual financial information
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or mess with our code
- Use bots, scripts, or automation to abuse the service
- Attempt to bypass rate limits or payment requirements
- Use the service for any illegal purpose
Basically, don't be a jerk. Use it for fun, curiosity, or professional research. If you weaponize it, we reserve the right to cut your access immediately.
Estimates & Accuracy
All net worth estimates are AI-generated approximations. They are not verified, audited, or endorsed by anyone. We make no guarantees about accuracy, completeness, or reliability.
Estimates are based on publicly available data including job title, company, location, experience level, and industry benchmarks. Actual net worth can vary wildly based on factors we can't see (investments, debt, inheritance, crypto bags, etc).
Intellectual Property
CheckWorth, including the extension, website, branding, and AI models, is our intellectual property. You get a license to use it, not own it. The shareable result cards you generate are yours to share freely.
Paid Plans
- Paid subscriptions are billed monthly
- You can cancel anytime from your account settings
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you're unhappy within the first 7 days, hit us up and we'll sort it out
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice
Service Availability
We aim for 99.9% uptime but we're not Amazon. Things break sometimes. We don't guarantee uninterrupted service and aren't liable for downtime, data loss, or missed estimates. We'll always do our best to keep things running smooth though.
Content Removal
If you find an estimate of yourself (or someone you represent) and want it removed, email hello@checkworth.app. We'll handle it within 24 hours. No drama.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CheckWorth and its team are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service. This includes direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. You use CheckWorth at your own risk.
We provide the service "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Termination
We can suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these terms or abuse the service. You can stop using CheckWorth at any time by uninstalling the extension. No hard feelings.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll notify you through the extension. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Singapore.
